Synopsis

Motoko Kusanagi ist von ihrer Verantwortung bei der 501-Organisation befreit und muss nun lernen, wie sie Befehle von Aramaki entgegennimmt. Jemand hackt die Logicomas und Batou bittet den ehemaligen Geheimdienstoffizier der Armee, Ishikawa, und den ehemaligen Luftartillerie-Experten Borma um Hilfe. Kusanagi möchte außerdem den Spitzenscharfschützen Saito und den verdeckten Ermittler Paz für die neue Abteilung 9 für öffentliche Sicherheit gewinnen.
